“Level 1” Inline Speed Skating Clinic
October 22 & 23, 2011

Paul DiJulio, coach of the Swagger Speed Team in Rhode Island and Jeff Foster, coach of the S.O.S. Speed Team in Pennsylvania are proud to offer and present this Inline Speed Skating Clinic.

ALL LEVELS OF SKATING ARE WELCOME to participate in this very informative and in-depth training clinic. The clinic is arranged in two different groups. The first group is the Level 1 Clinic, which is for those of your looking forward to competing in the 2012 Outdoor Nationals. Paul DiJulio strongly recommends to take part in the Level 1 Clinic which will Pre-Qualify you for entering outdoor nationals. Just to clarify, the Level 1 Clinic is an OFFICIAL USARS Certified Clinic. This Level 1 USA Roller Sports Clinic has been approved by USA Roller Sports to be run at this event and coached by Paul DiJulio and Jeff Foster. In order for any athlete to compete in the Outdoor Banked Track Nationals he/she MUST be certified through USA Roller Sports at Level 1 Clinics such as this one.

The second group is the Traditional Clinic where all skaters will learn numerous aspects of inline speed skating to take them to the next level. Whether it be outdoors or indoors, skaters will leave with a wealth of information and inside tips on boosting their performance.

Topics to be covered will be skating technique, race strategy for sprint, middle, long and marathon distance events, drills (on and off skates), plyometrics, conditioning exercises and even setting up your own training program to name a few.

Getting a new team member up and rolling quickly can be financially intimidating. So, if you have used (or new) equipment laying around collecting dust that you would like to donate or sell to the NESL please post your equipment on the Used Equipment page.

You contribution will not only be helping out a new or existing team member, but growing the Northeast Speed League.

The Connecticut Outdoor Challenge has been postponed until 2012. Once the new date has been set we will update our site and look forward to the race.

The Eastern Seaboard Series has come to an end. It was a great season and we all look forward to 2012.
